Latin and North America: Gerdau Volunteer Games 2024

In 2024, the Gerdau Volunteer Games have taken on a special mission. To achieve this, we are inviting participants to join forces in support of the population affected by the floods in Rio Grande do Sul. In this edition we will play together and all the actions taken will be converted into benefits for social organizations that are working to support victims in the region.


The efforts of all participants will be converted into points that accumulate on an overall scoreboard. Together, the units accumulate points in pursuit of the highest prize, which will be allocated to organizations in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.


Here's how you can participate:

  1. Mobilize your colleagues from your Unit and plan your actions.
  2. Create or join an action on the volunteer portal and implement the planned activities at the chosen institution.
    1. Create an action and lead the planning and execution of activities: register the action on the portal on page “3 - Publish Action”; mobilize your colleagues in your unit to take part; carry out the proposed activities: this is the time to get your hands dirty!  
    2. Join an action created by your unit: all the other participants who want to take part in the volunteering actions shall go to page “4 - Actions", select an action from their unit and click on “I want to Join”. On the day and time of the Action, take part in the scheduled activities.
  3. Record the results in the Volunteer Portal to accumulate points in the competition.
    1. To fill in the action report, go to your action's page on the portal and click on “Edit”. After including the results, make sure that the action has the status 'Completed' to guarantee the score.
    2. People who have registered for the volunteering actions on the Volunteer Portal and have effectively participated in the action may check in at the action or have their attendance registered by the Action Leader. The points scored by the volunteers are validated only this way.
